Honest Is As Honest Does
Honest is as honest does,
And I become what I always was.
Entombed in such presentiment.
Strong enough to pull me from the cement?
I know. I know.
We see what's coming. Coming.
We're all liars, in the streets,
And we keep lying between the sheets.
Shining grins through grand defeats,
We all keep playing through.
But, damn, I need something true.
When we see what's coming, Coming,
Do we keep running? Running?
Do we run our mouths, while we run in place?
Do the eyes
See the disguise,
Or the face?
I know. I know.
We're all liars, in the streets,
And we keep lying between the sheets.

A Representation In Defenistration (Kindness)
I fell for the depth of you...
But I'm losing myself to the things you do.
Oh, all the things you do. The things you'll do...
No. Oh, no.
When was the last time... that you showed me any kindness?
I'm not talking about a pardon, a bow, a 'your highness.'
When was the last time... that you showed me any kindness,
Without your knife at my neck? And that general lack of respect.
I threw myself upon your mercy.
Silly me.
To say you didn't spare me any
Falls short of the
Reality.
I love the depth of you.
I do.
I'm drawn to the sacred sinner I once knew.
I'm addicted to those moments you
Gave me just a drop of your kindness.
Just a drop, e
Do we fear the little things that we are?
Do we go, but go only in so far?
Do we? Do you?
You want
What you want,
'Til you've got it.
You'd haunt,
And you'd flaunt
As you sought it.
And you fought it,
Once it was in your hand.
Aye, once at your command.
Who will you convince
That you're proper?
Call yourself a prince?
You're a pauper.
Miser with your heart.
Violence is your tender.
Called it from the start.
The Great Pretender.
Do we fear the little things that we are?
Do we go, but go only in so far?
Do we wear the masks of bravery,
But let fear tighten the bonds of slavery?
Do we? Do you?
I know you do.

One rip,
Unzip,
Break the girl. Break the girl. Break the girl!
One slip,
One trip,

Get the locks. Get the locks. Get the locks!
Shut it off, Shut it in, Shut it down.
Shutter up, close your doors to the sound.
The cries in the night,
They give you such a fright,
Alright...
'cause they're all about you.
You took a fragile fiction from a book.
You gripped it by the throat, and, oh, you shook.
You made a mess, you made a mess, again.
Say you got it bad?
You're not cursed, you're
Midnight's grim smile comes
To ask too much of us.
Calloused heart and calloused thumbs
Cold brush the few such as us.
The rough touch scrapes and bruises, chills us to the bone.
Midnight's grim smile abuses the hope of the alone.
A wound in the arm
By the blade of his charm,
He rips it open, again.
Salt in the cut,
It's a punch to the gut,
But it's all the same old pain.
The dark comes quickly, now. Quicker than it has, before.
And he comes sickly, now, sicker than he was, for more.
Lanterns darken on the cobbled paths.
The journey home's grown colder, even in
The summer wind.
Midnight's maw opens and laughs.

Every time I try to help you stand,
You don't ever take my shaking hand.
I don't care- I do,
But I keep standing here for you,
And you don't-
No, no, no.
Never mind it.
The problem's mine,
And there to find it.
Even in all the ugly things you say to and of me...
I won't believe that you don't love me.
Every time I try to breathe the words,
You don't hear. You act like I'm absurd.
I don't care- I do,
But I keep saying these words to you,
And you don't-
No, no, no.
Never mind it.
Mouth's a loose cannon,
I should bind it.
Even as you try to build yourself so high above me...
I won't believe that you don't love me.

Love Finds A Way (A Supernatural Fiction)
It was a lazy day, on the planet below. Every wind was calm, in all the corners of the earth. It was such a rare sight that it was worthy of attention. One wind flowed easily into the next, and there was calm, where there was usually chaos. It was the sort of perfect weather over the entire globe that could easily be seen as 'peace on Earth,' at least from a celestial distance. Many thought that it was hard to not see God's hand at work, on such a rare, beautiful day. Some even voiced this, despite the aching void that haunted many of them, in missing their father.
An angel leaned against an out-facing wall, gazing down into the perfection o
Saw a reflection of another soul.
The unknown calls me from within.
Afraid to listen to that glistening whole,
I'm a stranger in my skin.
I am only certain of what I am not,
And I'm not sure where to begin.
When certainty's a luxury I haven't got,
I'm a stranger in my skin.
I am most myself when anybody else.
I've tried to say it, but you do not hear.
I feel at home within a guise.
But you won't realize
That this lie is more sincere.
I am a player on a stage within this hell,
And I have tried to make this clear.
The mirror only tells me lies,
But you won't realize
That we all are players here.
I am mostly what cannot be true.

Life is... crazy. Good and bad. I don't really know why I'm doing one of these. Therapeutic, I suppose, and I was told I should, and I don't keep an lj, or anything else, so here goes. haha
Family/money, money/family. The big struggles. Can't decide which is crazier, right now, but it's not all hectic. Issues abound, and I feel like I'm drowning, with the family stuff, but child is healthy and brilliant, and that's a blessing. Crafty, though, which is vexing. Good with the bad. Still no heat, but we're working on it. My mom won't tell me when she runs out of meds, because I have to buy them, so now I'll have to take inventory of he
So, it's been a long time. A really long time. And honestly, I've missed it here. This place fills me when I feel empty, and I feel guilty for the long absence. Things have been absurdly crazy these last months, but while there's no order in sight, I can imagine its coming. That, at least, brings peace.
When I dream, I dream of such peculiar things that they defy explanation. In my dreams, I am so far away. From here. From this. From myself. And sometimes, just sometimes, I am somewhere so splendid that I want to stay there. Away from here. From this. From me. The journey is to bring that reality home. I just don't know how ye
I haven't got much to say, here that would interest anyone (and not horrify anyone), so I have decided to fill this update with something fun & reviews.
First, the review.
I was looking for chocolate as a gift for someone who can no longer have any dairy. And working in chocolate as long as I have, I have become a chocolate snob. Everyone who knew me then did as well. I had to find something that was at least a little better than Hershey's, but entirely devoid of any milk products. Not as easy as you might think. The journey has led to multiple flavor failures. Just recently, however, this has been remedied. If you are someone who can
